We are a highly regarded MSP and Microsoft Gold Partner, looking for a motivated and driven Junior IT Support Engineer to work within our growing and dynamic business. The successful candidate will provide remote and onsite support to customers and will be based predominantly in our Cornwall office. Upon successful completion of training, the option of remote/hybrid working may be available.
About the role
Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, you will be keen to enhance and build upon your skills with a drive to pass further industry certifications.
You should have outstanding communication and customer service skills, building strong trustworthy relationships with clients, whilst taking pride in all your work with high levels of detail.
You should have a calm, methodological approach to projects and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to assess and prioritise issues.
Requirements
- Enjoys customer communication, with an excellent telephone manner.
- Works well in a small and friendly engineering team but also with managers, admin staff and customers.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to develop existing skills.
- Systematic approach to problem solving and a strong attention to detail.
- Full clean UK driving license preferred.
- Participation in on-call rota with some out of hours work when necessary.
Skills & experience
Some experience in 1st line support would be an advantage but is not essential.
Highly motivated with an enthusiasm to learn and ambition to develop skills further.
Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Basic knowledge of desktop, laptop & printer troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Anti-Virus solutions and Cloud services.
Network Design and Planning.
Experience in SharePoint.
Experience in SQL, Azure and/or Linux.
