The Inspector Technician is responsible for carrying out all physical verification activities in the business including raw material intake, in-process checks and final inspection to defined standards to ensure full compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards within the aerospace and defence sectors.
Working in the production environment, the Inspection Technician will check that products meet defined specifications and quality standards, contributing to maintaining consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

Main Tasks of the Job
- Goods-In Inspection
- Verify supplier material certs, traceability and conformance.
- Check composite material shelf-life and freezer requirements.
- Quarantine nonconforming material.
- In-process Inspection Samples
- Perform lay-up checks (ply orientation, fibre alignment, FOD).
- Vacuum integrity checks prior to cure.
- Inspect post-cure laminates for defects (delams, porosity, inclusions).
- Final Inspection & Release
- Perform dimensional checks (manual or CMM-assisted).
- Validate full traceability package before release.
- Packaging to the required shipping standards.
- FAIR Support
- Collect inspection evidence and dimensional results.
- Verify key characteristics and tooling configurations.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Engineering/Manufacturing NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of traceability and material certification.
