Main Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Composite Trim and Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for trimming, fitting, assembling, and finishing composite components to meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with composite materials, hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes within an automotive/motorsport manufacturing environment.

Main Task of the Job
- Trim, cut, drill, sand, and finish composite parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and technical specifications
- Assemble composite components and subassemblies according to production requirements
- Fit and align parts to ensure correct tolerances and dimensional accuracy
- Inspect components for defects, damage, or quality issues before and after assembly
- Perform fastening, riveting and adhesive application where required
- Operate trimming and assembly equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with health and safety standards
- Record production data and completed work documentation
- Collaborate with quality control, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues
- Follow all company procedures, safety protocols, and industry regulations
Skills
- Previous experience in composite trimming, assembly, or manufacturing within automotive or motorsport environments
- Knowledge of composite materials such as carbon fibre, fiberglass, and resin-based components
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Ability in using measuring tools such as callipers, gauges, and rulers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
- Health and Safety Awareness: Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a workshop setting is beneficial
