Are you ready to step into a leadership role in microbiology within a cutting-edge pharmaceutical environment? We’re looking for an experienced and passionate individual to supervise our Microbiology Lab operations and support high-quality pharmaceutical production at Piramal Pharma Solutions in Morpeth.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead daily Microbiology Lab operations, ensuring safety and compliance
- Plan and allocate testing tasks to lab analysts for raw materials, bulk/packaged products & environmental monitoring
- Support QA & QC activities for third-party contract manufacturing
- Lead quality investigations, including OOS root cause analysis
- Review & approve microbiological procedures, SOPs, specifications, and compendial updates
- Advise on contamination control strategies and system design improvements
- Share best practices by attending training & recommending improvements
- Represent Microbiology in external and internal audits/inspections
- Maintain compliance with global regulatory standards in environmental testing
- Assist with hiring & developing future Microbiology talent
