At Piramal Pharma, our purpose is clear: to serve patients. We're currently seeking a passionate and proactive QC Team Leader to join our Quality Control team in Morpeth, where we deliver life-changing products with a relentless focus on quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Why This Role Matters
As a QC Team Leader, you'll play a key role in supporting the QC Team Manager, leading laboratory scheduling and analysis activities. You’ll help ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations across one of our five QC teams — all while contributing to our mission of getting medicines to patients safely and on time.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan & prioritise laboratory testing for your team, setting clear work schedules
- Support the QC Team Manager in personnel oversight and daily operations
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, data integrity (DI), safety, and documentation standards
- Oversee timely release of materials and products aligned with business needs
- Lead investigations (OOS, deviations, safety), ensuring root cause analysis and CAPAs are thorough and on time
- Review and approve GMP documents: SOPs, specifications, methods, protocols, etc.
- Liaise cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Technical Services, and Project Managers to meet customer demand
- Track and maintain OTIF performance to ensure patients receive quality medicines when they need them

You’ll act as a deputy to the QC Team Manager when needed, providing guidance and structure for your team across rolling one-month planning cycles. Your ability to escalate issues early and manage priorities effectively will be critical to maintaining our high standards.
