We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide exceptional 1st and 2nd Level Technical Support to our team members at the Grangemouth Sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment where cutting-edge laboratory systems and technologies are being implemented to meet vital business needs.
What You Will Do:
- Deliver outstanding on-site IT Technical Support to all employees, ensuring timely updates and resolutions for any IT issues.
- Utilize ITIL best practices through the Piramal Helpdesk System to effectively manage support tickets.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, assisting in the implementation of new lab systems and innovative technologies that align with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulations for systems that hold and process sensitive data.
- Contribute to IT projects and support the Piramal IT Roadmap, driving our strategies forward.
- Maintain and support IT hardware, software, and relevant documentation to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular IT housekeeping tasks including daily system checks, backups, restorations, and security compliance initiatives.
- Handle ad-hoc responsibilities and projects to enhance our IT capabilities.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience, along with intermediate-level certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certifications, ITIL, CCNA).
- A proactive approach to technical issues, with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to keep colleagues informed and engaged throughout the support process.
- A solid understanding of ITIL processes and the ability to apply them in a practical setting.
