Financial Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and providing insight to help the business achieve its strategic objectives. With ongoing site growth, the role offers exposure to a range of exciting commercial and capital projects 🚀.

Responsibilities

• Complete key elements of recurring month-end and year-end close processes 📅
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets, prepayments, and liabilities 🧾
• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheet reports 📊
• Analyse cost centre budgets, including MI on headcount and utility trends, providing meaningful insights to management 💡
• Manage essential internal processes such as new project and capital expenditure requests 🏗️
• Support the Finance Director with capex assessments and ROI evaluations 📈
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting through data gathering, trend analysis, and business partnering with site management 🤝
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and information ✔️
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations ⚖️

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) 🎓
• Experience working within a finance team to deliver month-end close processes
• Strong background in balance sheet reconciliations and internal financial reporting
