Day to day running of the Gatehouse with duties to include liaising with other departments on any Security related issue, and ensure that all Security CCTV and Perimeter Protection faults are rectified as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Access control of pedestrians and vehicles
- To ensure that Visitors and Contractors General and Safety regulations and Site Safety and Security Policies are observed, by conducting appropriate inductions
- To monitor all site and utility alarms during and outside of normal working hours and to be familiar with current procedures in order to initiate corrective action
- Carry out regular patrols, consciously aware of safety, quality and cost initiatives
- Daily (and out of hours) monitoring of site security, fire protection, building and plant maintenance systems.
- To carry out detailed procedures in the event of an emergency, as well as liaise with the Police and other Emergency services.
- Reception and telephonist duties, first point of contact to external personnel, therefore requiring a high degree of customer service skills.
