The Associate Engagement & Culture Ambassador will support activities related to Associate engagement, programs, and events across the business. This position will partner with Leadership and Site Management to drive people activities, providing an inviting, collaborative, positive atmosphere that builds teamwork and a sense of workplace community.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously assess general Associate satisfaction and identify areas for engagement opportunities, utilizing internal data and external resources.
- Plan, promote, and execute Company events such as site-wide celebrations, Associate gift programs, Company annual picnics, Company holiday celebrations, associate update meetings, site level activities, and more.
- Research and develop vendor relationships to support various activities across the facilities.
- Manage recognition and anniversary programs to recognize associates at all levels.
- Responsible for all engagement-related communications, Company newsletter, and calendars.
- Coordinate engagement survey planning, communication, and rollout.
- Implement company-wide and/or departmental action plans based on survey results.
- Gather feedback and analyze data for reporting to leadership on site performance and engagement activity effectiveness; responsible for improving employee engagement and satisfaction at the site level and driving employee participation in events and activities.
- Create a roadmap centered around initiatives leveraging employee data to implement strategies that promote and achieve high engagement and thriving culture.
- Work closely with site management in creating a continuous listening approach throughout the Associate lifecycle.
- Partner with Leadership to implement strategies and programs that aim towards reducing turnover, increasing productivity, and enhancing associate experience.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure engagement strategies are embedded in recruitment strategy.
- Travel to out-of-state facilities to execute events including but not limited to Ohio, Florida, Nevada, and California.
- Plan and monitor engagement budgets.
- Coordinate facility tours for new hires.
- Monitor Glassdoor, Indeed, and other forums to identify Associate experience improvement opportunities.
- Other HR related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task and plan projects with extreme attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to travel out of state 2 – 4 times or more per month, depending on planned events. Each trip may include overnight stays and weekend workdays.
- Ability to work non-standard business hours on occasion to collaborate with Associates on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a confident social presence.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence all levels of Associates.
- Analytical skills to interpret Associate experience data and propose actionable recommendations.
- Ability to stay poised under pressure.
- Highly collaborative and self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- 2-3 years’ experience in Human Resources or related work.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
- Ability to be on-site when needed.
- Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment.
