Watford Pipes and Valves Ltd started trading in 2006 from our head office in Watford, we opened our Westbury branch in 2018. We supply industrial pipes, valves and ancillary and commercial plumbing products to maintenance engineers in a range of industries including hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and universities. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Watford team in this varied role in our Sales office. Salary will vary dependant on age and experience.

Job Purpose Summary

To respond to sales enquiries providing quotations, converting these to orders, this will involve liaising with suppliers to ensure pricing is current and delivery commitments are met. Primarily working from the sales office, as part of a small team there will also be a need to provide some cover in other areas of the business, such as the warehouse at times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer enquiries and orders (received by phone / email)
  • Coordinate and support all other aspects of the sales office process
  • Take ownership of customers problems through to resolution
  • Support external sales representatives
  • Process supplier purchase orders

Role Requirements

While experience is not necessary you should:

  • Have good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Have good problem-solving abilities
  • Have good computer skills
  • Be organised and have attention to detail
  • Be physically fit
  • Product knowledge an advantage

Salary Dependant on Age and Experience

  • 18-20 Trainee Rate £22,500-£25,000pa
  • 21+ Trainee Rate £26,000
  • 21+ With experience TBA

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £22,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
