Having been in the space since 2018, our client is highly experienced and has a strong track record of taking utility scale Solar and BESS projects from inception through to the ready to build stage.
This company is a subsidiary of an Investment Management firm. Having the project funding from your parent company provides stability when it comes to upcoming projects and ensures that your projects come to fruition. You would also be in constant contact and have support from the parent organization, creating a strong overall company culture.
Following a great track record in project development successes, the next stage of progress for our client is a continuation of their development efforts alongside moving their existing projects through to delivery and construction. With strong Gate2 notification results, this is a hugely exciting time of transition for this company.
They are currently looking to hire a Development Manager with around 3-5 years of direct renewable energy experience who will play a crucial role in guiding projects through to development and into the delivery stages.
Role responsibilities will include:
- Management of the full land transaction including heads of terms, completing option to lease agreements, and assisting on land access rights in the delivery phase.
- Overseeing the planning process from pre-submission through to consent, including the management of external planning consultants and public consultation events.
- Assisting with managing the grid connection process including assessing connection offers, liaising with national and local network operators, and tracking connection updates/timelines.
- Managing the transition from late stage development into construction, including discharge of planning conditions, EPC contract liaison, and handover to the construction team.
In this role, you would also have the opportunity to work on potential private-wire projects, as well as contributing to appropriate M&A transactions. With this in mind, prior experience in these matters would be useful but is not essential.
If you are looking for a role in an ambitious and well-established player in the renewable energy sector where you can gain exposure to the whole project lifecycle, apply to this position to learn more about the company and role in question.
