Senior Land Management Role for Solar & BESS Projects Highly flexible remote working system – occasional office visits Salary range based on ideal candidate experience: £70,000 – 80,000 Piper Maddox have partnered with one of the UK’s most reputable developers of utility scale renewable energy projects. Our client has been established in the UK market for a number of years and have a strong track record of successfully developing solar and battery storage assets. They have put together a current development pipeline of over 10GW as well as having a very stable EPC partner, it has been a great year for the team – and there are no signs of this slowing down any time soon! Their team in the UK is split across the three main pillars of the development lifecycle: land, planning, and grid – and these three in-house teams are in constant collaboration throughout the timeline of a project. Currently, all of these teams are looking at growth, showing the upwards trajectory this company is on. The land side of the team are looking at adding to their ranks before the end of the year – with a Senior Land Manager position. This position would play a key role in both the hands on aspect of projects and also mentoring and providing support to more junior members of the team. In this role, you would be responsible for: sourcing and identifying suitable land for renewable energy development, the commercial negotiations relating to land acquisition, as well as the management of the landowner relationship – throughout and after completion. Key aspects for this position: > Experience in taking land transactions all the way through (closing option to lease agreements) > Strong landowner connections and being comfortable engaging and liaising within agricultural/rural communities. > Prior experience in handling land negotiations for specifically renewable energy projects.
