Senior Development Manager - Solar & BESS
London Office: 3 days per week

Piper Maddox are currently supporting an international leader in the renewable energy sector with an important appointment to their UK operations. With a presence across multiple different European territories, this company are one of the most well established names in the industry.
Our client are a fully fledged independent power producer (IPP) who focus on the development, construction, and operation of large-scale Solar and Battery Storage projects. In the UK, these are split across both TCPA and NSIP level schemes.
With all of the changes going on in the industry amidst connections reform, this company are a very stable proposition. They have a strong pipeline of projects moving through development, a demonstrable track record of successful completion of projects, as well as very strong funding to progress all of their plans.
They are looking to add to their project development capabilities with the hire of a Senior Development Manager. The ideal candidate here will have a strong track record in taking projects through to the RTB stage, as well as good commercial acumen. The role requires at least 5+ years of direct experience in the renewable energy sector.
In terms of strategy, this company are keen to balance progressing their existing pipeline, while also utilizing their strong financial position to grow the portfolio via M&A transactions. The Senior Development Manager will contribute to both of these areas.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
> Progressing projects through key development milestones including land, planning, and grid towards the RTB stage.
> Contribution to ambitious M&A plans to grow the portfolio, including technical due diligence, financial/investment risks and assessments, as well as being the main point of contact on the transaction relationship.
> Efficient management of project programme in terms of budgets, timelines, and reporting up to senior leadership.
This role would be a great fit for an experienced professional to join up with a very stable company with an established long-term vision. You would be joining up with a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team covering development, EPC, legal, finance etc.
