Power Systems Consultancy. Up to £85,000 with bonus.
We're now supporting a fast growing power systems and engineering consultancy as they begin their mission to expand across Europe. This role is brand new to the company, with a main focus on bringing together engineers across the group. The company has been on a high growth mission for the last 4 years, now reaching a headcount of over 70. They have recently received funding from a new investor, meaning they have a new period of growth concentrated across European markets. The new capital means that people ready for a challenge will be rewarded with opportunities to grow their careers to new heights.
This position sits at the heart of the engineering team, with the main focus of the position being to lead the existing team of 8 engineers as this steadily grows to over 15 next year. The group offers truly flexible working with you deciding your own hours, patterns and the best way of solving issues. The organisation is made up of professionals that are experts in their fields, looking for a company where they would be able to make their mark on projects. They also have a strong history of success stories, made up of professionals that have risen to the challenges on offer within the group. The core of this role is relationships. You need to have a proven track record of working well with clients and various stakeholders in the space, managing different stakeholders as well as experience with leadership & management. The engineering focus of this role is on both transmission and distribution projects, reviewing and signing off connection offers.
The main responsibilities are:
- Working closely with various external stakeholders and clients throughout the industry.
- Authorising, reviewing and signing off on connection agreements and designs.
- Working closely with CDM regulations for these technical studies.
- Substation design including up to an including 400kV designs.
- Working closely with Battery Energy Storage systems as well as other primary plants.
- Full project lifecycle, from FEED through to construction stages.
