A fast-growing renewable energy platform with an established European footprint is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its expanding German operations. Following recent acquisitions and continued investment in wind and broader infrastructure assets, the business is entering a strong growth phase and is strengthening its finance capability to support increasing project activity and portfolio complexity.
This is a highly visible role within a commercially driven finance function, acting as the key interface between the German business and the wider finance team based in France. The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the Managing Director, alongside ownership of financial modelling, investment analysis, and commercial decision support across the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects.
The successful candidate will play a central role in driving financial insight, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping scale the German platform through its next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities- Build, develop, and maintain complex financial models for renewable energy projects
- Perform financial simulations, scenario analysis, and investment appraisal
- Analyse project economics, returns, and overall asset performance
- Support valuation work and investment decision-making processes
- Act as the primary financial link between the German team and French finance function
- Partner closely with project development teams on commercial decision support
- Support senior leadership and the Managing Director on strategic finance initiatives
- Contribute to commercial asset management across operational assets
- Present financial insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
- 3–5 years of relevant finance experience (flexible on seniority)
- Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities
- Experience building and maintaining complex project or investment models
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with financial simulation and scenario analysis
- Ability to assess project economics and investment opportunities
- Exposure to project lifecycles (development through operations)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English
- Exposure to project finance, infrastructure, or renewable energy
- International or cross-border working experience
- French language skills
- Wind, solar, or broader renewable energy experience
- Infrastructure investment background
- Commercial asset management exposure
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of key workstreams
