Job Opportunity: Power Electronics Design Engineer About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Electronics Design Engineer with a strong background in ACDC and DCDC converters. The ideal candidate will bring a few years of industry experience, a relevant academic background in Electronic Engineering, and an enthusiasm for innovation and international collaboration. You will play a key role in shaping solutions for the growing automated material handling sector. Our power conversion products are used in a wide range of industrial environments, both indoor and outdoor. Key Responsibilities: Drive product improvement and contribute to long-term growth and innovation. Manage products through all stages—from concept to full-scale production. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including systems architects, mechanical engineers, control specialists, and experts in EMI, magnetics, and PCB design. Conduct simulations of switching converters using tools such as Mathcad, Simplis, SPICE, or MATLAB/Simulink. Lead the preparation, review, and approval of schematic designs, magnetic components, loss calculations, and BOMs; provide support to PCB layout engineers. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in power electronics design, including semiconductors, magnetics, and control theory. Hands-on expertise with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, data loggers, AC/DC sources, electronic loads) and engineering tools (CAD, MRP systems, schematic capture). Familiarity with LLC and phase-shift converters, as well as active power factor correction (PFC). Exposure to EMC/EMI design and shielding techniques is a strong plus. Ability to understand and critically assess technical requirements. Experience in formal design processes, including structured reviews and stage-gate project workflows.
