NEW OPPORTUNITY – CAD Engineer - £55,000 DOE – Greater London (Hybrid)

Piper Maddox are working with a leading EPC who consistently boast a pipeline of 300-500MW per year. My client is looking for a talented CAD Engineer to join our team, working on large-scale solar projects across the UK and beyond. If you’ve got a sharp eye for design, a solid understanding of engineering principles, and a passion for renewable energy, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop precise layout and installation plans for ground-mounted solar farms using tools like AutoCAD, PVsyst.
  • Lead technical conversations with clients to refine system designs and optimise performance.
  • Analyse site data—from topographical surveys to geotechnical reports—to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of structural components.
  • Support the full design cycle, from planning to documentation and quality improvements.

Key Skills:

  • A degree in Engineering (Renewable, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record designing layouts for utility-scale solar PV systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (PVCase and PVSyst are big pluses).
