NEW OPPORTUNITY – BESS Asset Manager - £45,000 DOE – UK wide (Hybrid)

I am working with one of the UK’s flagship Energy Storage companies who boast a very impressive BESS portfolio, of which over 400MW is already in operation. They are seeking an O&M Engineer to optimise leading projects. As a key member of their Energy Storage team, you will ensure that their BESS sites operate at peak efficiency. You’ll monitor system performance, manage third-party O&M providers, and drive improvements in asset reliability and efficiency. This role is vital in supporting the long-term success of this company’s growing portfolio of energy storage projects, helping the UK move towards a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor & optimise BESS performance, ensuring assets meet operational targets
  • Oversee maintenance schedules, coordinating with third-party O&M providers
  • Analyse asset data to identify trends, optimize efficiency, and pre-empt potential issues
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical challenges and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, contractual obligations, and safety standards
What You’ll Need
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of asset management in energy storage, utilities, or renewables
  • Experience working with O&M contracts, suppliers, and operational risk management
  • Knowledge of BESS technologies, grid operations, and performance optimization
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret asset data and drive continuous improvement
  • H&S qualifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or SMSTS (desirable)
