A rapidly growing clean energy technology company is looking to appoint a Warranty Manager to take ownership of technical warranty and claims management across its expanding portfolio of residential solar, battery storage and heat pump installations. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious business operating at the intersection of renewable energy, software and finance, helping accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable energy future.

As Warranty Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting customer experience, managing technical risks and ensuring high installation quality across a growing European platform. Working closely with installers, customers, technical teams and external partners, you will assess warranty cases, identify root causes and drive effective resolutions across a wide range of PV and heat pump systems. This position offers significant ownership, allowing you to help build and improve warranty processes from the ground up while becoming a key technical point of contact within a fast-paced and scaling clean energy business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and assess warranty claims across residential PV, battery storage and heat pump installations.
  • Investigate technical faults to determine root causes and establish whether responsibility sits with installers, manufacturers or other parties.
  • Review installation quality, identify technical defects and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Manage relationships with installers and contractors, including challenging warranty decisions where required.
  • Support customer escalations by providing technical assessments and driving timely resolutions.
  • Analyse recurring technical issues and implement improvements to reduce future warranty risks.
  • Support cost recovery processes by identifying responsibility and ensuring appropriate parties are held accountable.
  • Work closely with internal teams including customer operations, legal and commercial functions on complex claims.
  • Develop and improve warranty processes, documentation and reporting as the business continues to scale.
Candidate Profile
  • Technical background within renewable energy, electrical engineering, HVAC/SHK, solar installation, quality management, warranty or technical claims.
  • Strong understanding of residential PV systems, including inverters, batteries, electrical components and installation standards.
  • Experience assessing technical faults and determining responsibility for system failures.
  • Previous exposure to warranty management, quality assurance, claims handling or technical inspections would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of heat pump systems, including hydraulic systems and refrigerant circuits, would be beneficial.
  • Comfortable managing conversations with installers, contractors and customers regarding technical issues and disputes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate issues and make informed decisions.
  • Organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple warranty cases simultaneously.
  • Fluent German and strong English communication skills are essential.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where processes are continuously evolving.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth clean energy business at a pivotal stage of expansion. You will have the opportunity to shape how warranty management operates at scale, influencing technical quality, customer satisfaction and commercial performance across a growing European renewable energy platform. The role offers the chance to move beyond traditional warranty administration and become a key owner of technical quality and claims strategy. For candidates with a strong PV, heat pump or technical background, this provides the opportunity to take on genuine responsibility, build processes and make a measurable impact within the energy transition.
