Senior Surveyor - Energy, Utilities, & Infrastructure Projects

Piper Maddox are currently working alongside a long standing name in the rural & agricultural sector to assist in the growth of their Energy & Utilities team based in Scotland. Our client was founded over 100 years ago and have built up an excellent reputation and track record for providing specialist land & property services to their client base.
Skipping forward to 2026, their Energy & Utilities team is currently their largest function and is a hugely exciting growth area for the business going forward. This company work across a wide variety of technologies and infrastructures including renewable energy, grid infrastructure, land diversification, and utilities.
They are looking to add a Senior Surveyor, and the ideal level of experience here would be someone who is 1-2 years post APC qualification. In terms of industry body, it would be great to speak with candidates with MRICS or CAAV accreditations.
In this role, you would be responsible for contributing to matters such as:
- Delivering key land matters such as wayleaves, easements, land access rights, CPO, valuations, as well as contributing to potential land acquisition matters.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key rural/agricultural stakeholders including landowners, estates, and local authorities.
- Manage client instructions from inception through to completion, as well as preparing fee estimates and quotations within bodies of work for approval.
- An element of business development to promote company services and win new pieces of work for the Energy & Utilities team as well as potentially for other areas of the business.
Our client also operates across land agency, landlord/tenant matters, property management, and forestry.
