PLS Civil Engineering Ltd is a well-established and expanding civil engineering contractor based in Shirebrook, Nottinghamshire. We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record working within the civil engineering sector and strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion
- Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, and forecasts
- Administer and manage NEC contracts, ensuring compliance and protection of the company’s commercial interests
- Measure and value work done on site, including variations and compensation events
- Prepare and agree subcontractor accounts and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, site teams, and senior management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably
- Produce accurate financial reports and cost/value reconciliations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector
- Strong understanding and practical experience of NEC forms of contract
- Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
