As a Utility Surveyor, you will:

  • Undertake utility surveying and mapping projects in accordance with PAS128 standards, providing accurate and reliable underground utility information to clients.
  • Undertake utility surveys using EML, GPR, GNSS, and where required, Robotic Total Stations.
  • Identify, trace, locate and capture underground utilities including electricity, gas, water, drainage, telecommunications and all other buried services.
  • Carry out manhole inspections, chamber surveys and associated measurements where required.
  • Complete utility surveys in accordance with PAS128:2022 and DM standards.
  • Capture, manage, and where required, process survey data to required standards.
  • Maintain survey equipment and ensure it remains calibrated and fit for purpose.
  • Liaise professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors and stakeholders on site.
  • Where required, assist with the development and training of junior utility surveyors.
  • Follow safe systems of work, site specific RAMS and DM health and safety procedures.

The successful candidate will have:

  • ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Utility Mapping & Surveying or relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of PAS128:2022 utility surveying standards.
  • Proficiency in EML, GPR and GNSS technologies.
  • Ability to complete survey data processing, interpretation and deliverable production.
  • Good technical, communication and client facing skills.
  • Be a great team player and have a can-do attitude.
  • Be a natural problem solver.
  • Enjoy delivering results as a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
