Job Summary

Utilize your logistics expertise and supervisory skills in a buy to sell warehousing environment. You will leverage your team\'s experience and skills to support on supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and inspection and refurbishment of rental product. You will evaluate customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. You will provide data analysis for delivery performance and other relevant KPIs. You will lead process improvement efforts and lean tool implementation in your Warehouse. As a team supervisor, you will coach your team members in technical and behavioral competencies in order to deliver high impact to business results.

Responsibilities

Manage Direct Reports and Warehouse Operations (over 50%)

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Supervise and support a small team of Warehouse Operators
  • Mentor employees and create and drive Individual development plans, and personal succession plans.
  • Define, Document and Develop Relevant Processes related to Warehousing and logistics operations
  • Day to day management of all inbound, outbound, and rental returns processes
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders throughout Europe, including Order Management, Sales, Procurement, Demand Planning, Logistics, Marketing and Business Leadership.

Safety, Quality and Lean Tool development (20%)

  • Identify and manage projects that improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and Working capital performance.
  • Ensure Change is managed effectively - with emphasis on Safety and Quality.
  • Drive process improvement using established Kaizen, RPS and 5S processes.
  • Develop and improve Kaizen, RPS and 5S processes.
  • Increase the maturity and understanding of basic lean techniques throughout the team.
  • Drive the creation, implementation and improvement of standard operating procedures, and risk assessments throughout the operation.

KPI Definition, Development and Improvement (20%)

  • Establish, implement and report high level KPIs apply Root Cause Analysis to deviations from standard, and drive any subsequent corrective actions to protect the customer and business.
  • Maintain visual information in the office (Tier Meeting Board), key for back-up actions

Qualifications

  • 5+ years warehouse management experience in a Low volume, high mix environment
  • Customer oriented
  • Safety Orientated

Skills

  • Knowledge of basic lean principles. 5S, RPS, Kaizen, Tiered Accountability Structure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a varied audience
  • Advanced Excel Ability
  • ERP knowledge, actual ERP used SAP R3
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Six Sigma Qualifications
  • Experience on driving culture change
