30 hours per week Fixed until 30th April 2027. Pioneering Care Partnership deliver the Better Health at Work Award in Durham and Sunderland, and we are looking to appoint a Workplace Health Development Worker who will work with small, medium and large organisations in Sunderland to engage, recruit and achieve accreditation across all levels.
Working within a high performing and proactive team you will be the first point of contact and support organisations in conducting an initial Health Needs Assessment, delivering health campaigns, connecting them to local services and conducting assessments in the achievement of each level of the award. You will receive support from the Workplace Health team and Project Lead and will lead on the training of health advocates across Sunderland.
There is also an expectation that you will be an exceptional advocate for workplace health by adopting a healthy lifestyle that promotes physical activity and positive mental health and wellbeing.
We are looking to appoint someone who has attained the following attributes as a minimum:
- Is hard working, flexible and compassionate with a positive outlook and caring disposition.
- Has first class communication and engagement skills to ensure success when working with workplaces in a variety of settings.
- Has experience of delivering training to adults to enable informed choice in living a healthy lifestyle.
- Has experience of working collaboratively within a high performing team, using pathways to appropriately signpost workplaces to access a range of interventions and support.
- Is patient, well organised, has a pleasant manner with a positive mindset and good sense of humour.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at our office in Hendon and will work across Sunderland.
