About the Role

Pioneer is delighted to be supporting a well-established, ethical and values-driven provider of Children & Young People’s services in recruiting an Operations Manager. You will oversee a small number of residential services across the region, ensuring exceptional care quality, supporting service leaders, and maintaining strong relationships with commissioners and external partners. This role suits an experienced Operations Manager, or a Registered Manager with multi-site responsibilities who is ready to progress into a senior regional leadership role. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Registered Managers across multiple services for CYP with complex needs, autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs.
  • Ensure services meet Ofsted standards and deliver strong, person-centred outcomes.
  • Use KPIs and performance data to drive quality, safety and best practice.
  • Champion trauma-informed, least-restrictive and positive behaviour support approaches.
  • Build strong partnerships with commissioners, MDTs and local authorities.
  • Support sustainable growth, onboarding new services and ensuring high standards from day one.
  • Coach, mentor and develop managers to build high-performing, engaged teams.

Requirements

  • Essential Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children & Young People’s Services (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or a Registered Manager with multi-site experience in an Ofsted setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding and regulation.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with LD, autism and/or complex mental health needs.
  • Track record of improving service quality and embedding high standards.
  • Full UK driving licence + willingness to travel regionally.

Desirable

  • Experience in commissioning, transitions, PBS, trauma-informed practice or restraint-reduction initiatives.
