Pioneer Talent is proud to be partnering with a leading not-for-profit care charity to recruit an exceptional Clinical Deputy Manager for one of their care homes in West Sussex. This is a pivotal clinical leadership appointment, joining the home's leadership team to share clinical oversight across the home, support registered nurses and nursing practice, and β€” on occasion β€” deputise for the Home Manager while working in a clinical capacity to support residents' needs.

The role as Clinical Deputy Manager includes:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating person-centred care plans
  • Delivering high-quality clinical care to residents
  • Providing shift-by-shift leadership for the nursing team
  • Supporting and developing nursing staff through reflective practice and personal development plans
  • Participating in the recruitment of clinical staff
  • Collating and analysing data to drive nursing standards
  • Working proactively with the Home Manager to uphold and enhance nursing standards across the home

About you: Pioneer Talent is keen to speak with clinical nurse leaders who bring:

  • Current NMC registration with a minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience
  • At least 12 months in a senior position within a care home setting
  • A strong understanding of clinical governance and the CQC assessment framework
  • Experience of advancing frailty, long-term conditions, end-of-life care and dementia support
  • A flexible, hands-on approach with evidence of continuing professional development
  • The ability to inspire and lead by example
