Our client is a family-run manufacturing business established in 1899, with over a century of heritage in FMCG. They are a European market leader, covering a couple of sectors within the FMCG industries. The business supplies both EU and US markets, using highly automated production lines and modern processing equipment.
About the Site & Process
Each product has its own dedicated production line and unique manufacturing process, including pastry lines and croissant lines.

- Mixers
- Laminator machines
- Freezers
- Ovens
- Conveyors
- Packing machines
- Palletisers
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in keeping the site running efficiently, safely and to the highest food manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding on electrical and mechanical machinery
- Work on continuous improvement projects across the site
- Support and lead small engineering projects
- Manage and work alongside external contractors
- Ensure full compliance with BRC and food safety standards
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical & mechanical systems
- Experience working with automated production lines
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
- Comfortable working a rotating days and nights shift pattern
