Job Role of the Class 2 Driver

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established UK engineering and manufacturing business with over 80 years of experience.
You will be responsible for carrying out delivery driving to meet customer demands, with an average of 12–15 drops per day.
You will also occasionally support with picking, packing, loading and unloading, ensuring all customer deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time.
The role will involve both day runs and overnight deliveries, with flexibility essential as start and finish times will vary depending on the allocated run.

- Valid UK Class 2 driving licence.
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar Class 2 Driver role.
- Previous delivery driving experience.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Manual handling experience.
- Ability to work safely within a warehouse and fleet environment.
- Flexibility to complete overnight stays and varying start/finish times.
- Minimum age of 25 due to insurance requirements.
Requirements for the Class 2 Driver
- Experience carrying out multiple customer deliveries.
- Experience loading and unloading vehicles.
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
- Ability to use IT databases and keyboard systems.
- Reliable, committed and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically and mentally capable of manual/mechanical work.

- Fork Lift Truck licence or previous FLT experience.
- Warehouse, picking and packing experience.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
