An exciting opportunity has become available for an Engineering Team Leader to join a growing heavy industrial manufacturing business that continues to invest in its people, engineering function and production facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering professional to lead the shift engineering team while continuing to carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance.

The successful Engineering Team Leader will:

  • Delegate and prioritise engineering workload
  • Coordinate breakdown response and planned maintenance
  • Support production and drive engineering, safety and housekeeping standards across the site

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent)
  • Multi-Skilled Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills
  • Manufacturing background

Requirements:

  • Strong electrical fault-finding experience
  • Experience carrying out reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance
  • Previous experience leading or supervising an engineering team
  • Experience working on industrial plant and production machinery
  • Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis experience
  • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical equipment

Desirable Requirements:

  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Physically fit and able to work within a demanding industrial environment
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Food, FMCG, Agricultural or Heavy Industrial manufacturing experience
