We\’re looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a high-performing team within a modern, high-care food production facility in Middlesbrough. With state-of-the-art equipment and a strong operational team already in place, this is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader ready to step into a key role.

About the Role:
You\’ll be working in a dedicated unit focused on frozen products – including paninis, toasties, and ciabattas. The facility uses advanced semi-automated lines and cutting-edge machinery such as flow wrappers, ultrasonic cutters, and air compressors. Your mission: keep operations running smoothly, minimise downtime, and maintain exceptional product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily production and lead a team of Line Leaders and Production Operatives

  • Oversee staffing rotas, holidays, and temporary cover in collaboration with Admin

  • Ensure traceability and food safety compliance to BRC standards

  • Monitor raw material usage and stock to minimise waste

  • Deliver training, support inductions, and manage performance

  • Conduct SIC reviews and handle disciplinary investigations as required

  • Support senior management with audits, reporting, and GMP improvements

  • Lead by example in health & safety and operational standards

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Experience in food manufacturing, ideally chilled or frozen production

  • Proven leadership and people management abilities

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Computer literate and confident with operational systems

  • Knowledge of BRC, GMP, and health & safety protocols

  • Flexible, dependable, and proactive approach
