Production Operator – Chemical Manufacturing
Duxford, Cambridgeshire
£37,000 – £37,500 + Excellent Benefits + Overtime Available
3-shift rotation (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am)
Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
Are you experienced in manufacturing and ready for your next challenge in a high-tech, high-performing environment? We’re working with a leading global manufacturer at their flagship UK site in Cambridgeshire to find motivated Production Operators to join their expanding team. The site produces over 350 different chemical products and includes 18 varied workstations, making no two days the same!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating plant machinery to manufacture, fill and pack products in line with standard operating procedures.
- Working across different workstations – from 1,000-litre mixers to resin pressers – adding variety to your day.
- Weighing and adding materials, lifting large bags into hoppers, and taking samples to the onsite lab.
- Completing batch documentation and shift handovers.
- Carrying out routine cleaning of vessels and machinery between product batches.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Production Operator or Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures in a production or chemical setting.
- Comfortable working in a physical role that may involve lifting, wearing PPE, and handling chemicals.
- A team player who is reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
