This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in minimising downtime and ensuring the seamless operation of site-wide electrical and mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer: Respond to breakdowns and perform planned maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, including site facilities. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, with the ability to fault-find on PLC systems. Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager to prioritise workloads and resource allocation. Conduct statutory checks, log completed work, and provide resolutions for ongoing issues. Maintain and inspect site facilities while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. Supervise contractors, control permits, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards. Proactively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and develop operational practices for machine efficiency. Skills required for Electrical Maintenance Engineer: A recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ, HNC, or equivalent). Strong fault-finding experience with PLC systems. Expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
