We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This role involves repairing and maintaining a range of industrial rotating equipment, including AC & DC motors, motorized gearboxes, pumps, fan units, generators, and other associated machinery. Work is split between 80% workshop-based repairs and 20% on-site servicing.
Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Fitter:
- Diagnose faults, dismantle, and repair industrial equipment.
- Test, inspect, and service motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Handle a wide variety of components, from small fan units to large-scale industrial motors.
- Provide clear fault reports and relay findings to management.
- Occasionally travel to client sites using a company vehicle (site work experience & CCNSG passport advantageous).
- Maintain high health and safety standards.
Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter:
- Experience in repairing rotating electrical & mechanical equipment.
- Ability to fault find, identify worn components, and rectify issues.
- Some electrical testing knowledge of AC & DC motors (training & verification provided).
- Strong mechanical engineering background.
- Flexible approach to work within a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
- A proactive team player with the ability to work independently.
