An established UK-based manufacturing business with over 45 years of industry experience is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. Operating across multiple European sites, the business designs and manufactures aluminium-based solutions for a wide range of architectural and industrial applications.
This is a hands-on role in a heavy industrial environment, ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys fault-finding, large machinery, and real engineering challenges.
The Role of the Maintenance Engineer- You will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant reliability within a demanding production environment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Respond to breakdowns and production issues
- Install, test, maintain and repair mechanical equipment
- Support major refurbishments and the integration of new plant
- Diagnose faults using logical problem-solving skills
- Working on mechanical faults
- Participate in an on-call rota for emergency breakdowns
- Strong heavy / industrial maintenance background
- Mechanical bias (approx. 80% mechanical / 20% electrical)
- Comfortable working in hot, physically demanding environments
- Hands-on, driven, organised and reliable
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Must have UK work eligibility (no sponsorship available)
Rotating 3-shift system: 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm, 10:00pm - 6:00am
