Maintenance Engineer – FMCG Manufacturing £44,000 – £48,000 Excellent Benefits | 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights) | Northampton Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to join a rapidly growing FMCG manufacturing business in the Northampton area , offering strong pay, excellent benefits, and genuine career progression? We are working with a well-established and expanding FMCG manufacturer seeking skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a modern, high-volume production site in Northampton . The Role Working within a fast-paced FMCG environment, you\’ll be responsible for a balanced mix of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance , ensuring machinery and production lines operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Key responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on automated manufacturing and packaging equipment Fault-finding and effective breakdown response in a time-critical production environment Supporting continuous improvement, reliability, and engineering-led initiatives Working closely with production teams to maintain output, safety, and quality standards This role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern , rotating days and nights , offering a structured rota and excellent work–life balance.
