Job Role of the Controls Engineer
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Controls Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing site in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer with a controls background and strong PLC fault-finding experience, looking to develop their career within a technically advanced industrial environment.
The role is hands-on, focusing on electrical and controls fault finding, PLC repairs and modifications, and supporting the reliability and performance of production machinery.

Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Electrical bias
- Controls background, with the ability to fault find, repair and modify Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs
- Open to candidates from any industrial maintenance background
- Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent
Requirements for the Controls Engineer
- Carrying out electrical and controls fault finding across industrial machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing PLC-related faults
- Fault finding, repairing and modifying Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs
- Supporting PLC modifications and improvementsCarrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Supporting production to minimise downtime
- Identifying recurring faults and contributing to reliability improvements
- Working closely with the wider engineering and production teams
- Candidates from any industrial maintenance, manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, processing or similar environment are encouraged to apply
