I'm recruiting on behalf of a major industrial manufacturer who are looking to appoint a skilled Automation Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a critical role within a high-volume, fast-paced pharmaceutical production environment, ideal for an engineer who thrives under pressure and takes pride in keeping manufacturing operations running efficiently.
The successful Automation Engineer will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on a wide range of automated and industrial machinery. You will play a key part in minimising downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with solid hands-on experience in an industrial or factory setting. While mechanical experience is essential, this role places a strong emphasis on electrical fault-finding, so proven electrical competence within a modern manufacturing environment is crucial. You will be confident reading electrical diagrams, diagnosing faults quickly, and working safely to high engineering standards.
