Key Responsibilities
- Set, condition, and optimise multiple extrusion machines
- Ensure correct machine start-up, restart, and shutdown procedures
- Maintain safe working practices in line with HSE policies
- Carry out fault finding and problem solving across production and development
- Perform tool changes, hopper cleaning, and material preparation
- Maintain machine cleanliness following 5S standards
- Support production training and first-off samples with the Team Leader
- Carry out hands-on production duties including running machines and packing
- Record production data using paper and cloud-based systems
- Complete shift handovers to the next setter
- Conduct daily machine safety checks and report faults
- Ensure SOPs and production documentation are issued correctly
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Personal Specification
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Extrusion Setter (essential)
- Plastics extrusion qualification (desirable, not essential)
Shift Pattern
- Monday β Thursday (Rotating): 06:00 β 14:00, 14:00 β 22:00, 22:00 β 06:00 (Paid 30-minute break)
- Friday (Rotating): 06:00 β 11:00, 11:00 β 16:00, 16:00 β 21:00 (No break)
