We are recruiting for an exceptional Engineering Manager to join a leading process-driven manufacturing organisation based in Hove. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking engineering leader to join a rapidly developing business with multiple sites, ongoing investment, and a strong culture of continuous improvement.
As Engineering Manager, you will lead a multi-skilled engineering department across two key sites, working closely with the Head of Engineering and senior leadership teams to ensure plant reliability, statutory compliance, and long-term engineering development. This role offers the successful engineering manager significant autonomy, capital project involvement, and the chance to drive engineering standards across a growing organisation.
Responsibilities- Lead a multi-skilled engineering department across two sites, working with the Head of Engineering and senior leadership to ensure plant reliability and long-term engineering development.
- Drive consistency of engineering standards and capital project delivery across the organisation.
- Strong engineering background within a process-driven or manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership, team development, and engineering management experience.
- Solid understanding of GMP, HSE requirements, and legal compliance.
- Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational ability and experience coordinating teams and projects.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and proactive leadership style.
- Passion for “right-first-time” standards and robust root cause analysis.
- Skilled in problem-solving, negotiation, and presenting ideas clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver improvements across engineering operations.
- Competitive salary: £55,000–£65,000
