An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a world‑leading automotive seating manufacturer supplying major brands including BMW, Mini, and Vauxhall. Working within a fast‑paced, high‑volume production environment where a seat is produced every 60 seconds, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (80%) and reactive breakdown support (20%) to ensure maximum equipment uptime and production efficiency. This is a critical role where rapid response to breakdowns is essential due to the high cost of downtime. You will also be involved in continuous improvement activities, TPM systems, and supporting the overall reliability of automated production lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventative maintenance, ensuring 80% of maintenance activities are planned.
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns promptly (20% of maintenance work) to minimize downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including TPM, RCA, and QRCI.
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting robotics and automated assembly systems.
  • Contribute to overall reliability of automated production lines.
