An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to join a well-established manufacturing business on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

This part-time role offers excellent flexibility, with school hours available, making it ideal for someone looking to balance work with other commitments.

You will play a key role in supporting the site's health and safety strategy, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, promoting a positive safety culture, carrying out audits and risk assessments, and working closely with managers and employees to maintain the highest standards of health and safety across the business.

  • Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Health & Safety Coordinator
  • Previous Health & Safety experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance.
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments, audits and accident investigations.

Requirements for the Health & Safety Coordinator

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Experience delivering Health & Safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience maintaining Health & Safety documentation and records.

Desirable Requirements for the Health & Safety Coordinator

  • Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Internal Auditor qualification.
  • Experience with ISO 45001 management systems.
