Salary: Up to £55,000

Job Role of the Technical Fenestration EngineerAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Technical Fenestration Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business within the fenestration sector.This is a broad, hands-on and customer-facing technical role, supporting product queries, fabrication issues, workshop activity and technical problem-solving. You will work closely with customers, internal technical teams and commercial colleagues to provide practical product support and help strengthen the company's technical offering.The role will suit someone with strong fenestration knowledge who enjoys variety, customer interaction and being close to the product rather than working in a purely desk-based technical role.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Technical Fenestration Engineer

Fenestration, glazing, façade or window/door systems experience. Strong technical product knowledge within a customer-facing environment. Confident supporting customers, fabricators or installers. Commutable to Telford.

Requirements for the Technical Fenestration Engineer

  • Providing technical support to customers and fabricators.
  • Supporting technical queries around product, fabrication and installation issues.
  • Working with aluminium or architectural glazing/fenestration products.
  • Working hands-on with products, samples, tooling and workshop activity.
  • Supporting sales and commercial teams with technical product knowledge.
  • Visiting customer sites to understand and resolve technical issues.
  • Liaising with internal teams including workshop, product, sales and commercial.
  • Supporting product development and improvement activity where required.

Desirable Requirements for the Technical Fenestration Engineer

  • Aluminium systems experience.
  • Windows and doors experience.
  • Experience within a systems house or fabricator.
  • Product development or technical support experience.
  • Sales or commercial support experience.
