Quality Controller Food Production
Pontefract, West Yorkshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (occasional Saturdays & longer shifts up to 12 hours may be required)

About the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join a thriving food production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, fast-paced facility that supplies pre-prepared meat products to some of the UK’s best-known supermarket and meal kit brands. You’ll play a key part in upholding quality and safety standards, ensuring every product meets precise customer and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular quality checks on raw materials, intermediate, and finished products
- Conduct label verification and air temperature monitoring
- Calibrate equipment, including scales and temperature probes
- Collect and prepare samples for lab analysis, including equine testing
- Carry out internal audits (e.g., black bag audits)
- Report and resolve quality concerns in line with company procedures
- Support the Quality Assurance team as business needs evolve
