We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a well-established site in Letchworth, working a stable Monday–Friday day shift. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and compliance of all site facilities and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair building services including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general facilities systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Manage and coordinate external contractors and service providers
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements
- Support continuous improvement of facilities and energy efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Respond promptly to facilities-related issues to minimise downtime
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a facilities or building services engineering role
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical background
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
- Knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and statutory inspections
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
