Due to ongoing growth and investment in our facilities, we are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Rainham. Skills required for the mechanical maintenance engineer:
- Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on a wide range of machinery and equipment within a heavy industrial environment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components on large machines, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and presses.
- Work closely with the engineering team to maintain and improve production line performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts used.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a heavy industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and other mechanical repair techniques.
- Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing or heavy machinery environment is desirable.
