I am currently working with a well-established and expanding industrial manufacturer, recognised as a leader within its sector, to recruit a mechanical shift engineer for their busy processing plant. The business is seeking a practical, reliable mechanical shift engineer who takes pride in their work and thrives in a hands-on, heavy industrial environment. As a mechanical shift engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams, carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance across a wide range of heavy machinery. This role offers the mechanical shift engineer the chance to make a real impact on site performance while developing their skills within a stable and forward-thinking organisation.
Essential requirements:- Strong Mechanical Skills
- Minimum Level 3 Engineering Qualification
- Ideally Apprentice Trained
- Demonstrated experience in planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support
- Confident fault-finding and diagnostic ability on production and process machinery, proactive approach with a genuine willingness to learn and contribute to the wider team
