Maintenance Engineer

Shifnal

£39,000

Full-Time, Permanent- Day shift

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site based in Telford. The site houses both warehouse and production operations and is one of several key locations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a mix of reactive (80%) and planned preventative maintenance (PPM – 20%)
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including: Contactors, relays, heated elements, and damaged cables (due to corrosive coolant exposure)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory
  • Provide occasional support for external site installations (minimal)

Machinery on Site Includes:

  • Lamination machines
  • Water treatment systems
  • Thermal rate machines
  • Paint equipment
  • Compressors
  • Extrusion lines

Ideal Candidate Will Be:

  • Multi-skilled, ideally with an electrical bias
  • Qualified in engineering (electrical or multi-discipline)
  • Experienced in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proactive and solution-focused, with a strong understanding of equipment maintenance
