Machine Shop Engineer Salary: Basic up to £42,000, Benefits Location: Salford, Greater Manchester A large Blue-Chip organisation is currently looking for a Machine Shop Engineer to be based at their testing facility in the Salford, Greater Manchester area. The Machine Shop Engineer will be responsible for preparing weld test pieces for testing to ISO standards, operating machinery (milling machines, bandsaws and lathes) as well as mentoring of trainees through the group apprenticeship scheme. Skills required for an Machine Shop Engineer Must be qualified to Level 3 within a Engineering discipline Have experience of operating milling machines, bandsaws and lathes. Ideally, had experience of training, mentoring and developing junior members of staff. Ordering tooling would be advantageous. Ability to work on a individual basis and demonstrate flexibility as well as pay attention to detail. Have high levels of health & safety standards.
