Job Title: Installation Operative
Location: Hayes
Salary: Up to Β£40,(Apply online only) + overtime
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8-10 hours per shift, starting at 6:00am. Weekend and night work will also be required
Job Role of the Installation Operative
A leading manufacturer and installer of street furniture is currently recruiting for an Installation Operative to join its field-based team.
The Installation Operative will travel from the Hayes depot to sites across Greater London, installing and maintaining street furniture such as bus shelters, stops and signage. The role will involve groundworks, civils excavation, footpath reinstatement and the safe operation of machinery, hand tools and power tools.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Installation Operative
- Construction, Building materials, or Groundwork experience
- Manual Handling training
- Commutable to the company depot in Hayes
Requirements for the Installation Operative
- Experience completing practical and physically active outdoor work
- Comfortable operating machinery, hand tools and power tools
- Able to maintain a high standard of workmanship
- Good understanding of safe systems of work and Health & Safety procedures
- Able to communicate through emails, messages, photographs and basic forms
- Comfortable travelling to installation sites throughout Greater London
- Able to work effectively as part of a small installation team
Desirable Requirements for the Installation Operative
- CSCS certification
- Lorry-mounted crane certification
- Counterbalance forklift certification
- CAT scanner experience
- Ability to read engineering or construction drawings
- Previous street-furniture, installation or assembly experience
- GCSE English and Mathematics
