Job Title: Mechanical Fitter (TIG Welding and Fabrication)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a TIG Welder and Fabricator to join a growing FMCG manufacturing business based in Hayes. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for mechanical fitting, fabrication and TIG welding , working on a variety of production and packaging machinery including conveyors, labellers, packaging equipment and multi-head weighers.
The role will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive mechanical repairs , as well as supporting the fabrication and modification of machine components, guards and frames. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with opportunities for training, overtime and long-term progression.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of “Welder and Fabricator”
Must have mechanical fitting or mechanical maintenance experience within an FMCG, manufacturing, production or industrial engineering environment.
Must have TIG welding and fabrication experience .
Must have experience working with mechanical components
Essential Requirements of “Mechanical Fitter”
Strong mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting skills .
Experience using workshop tools and fabrication equipment .
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings .
Desirable Requirements of “Mechanical Fitter”
Experience with manual machining including manual lathes and general workshop machining .
